What is Dock Diving?

Dock Diving is a fun, exciting, but easy-to-do sport with simple rules: You throw your dog’s favorite toy into a pond/pool while he waits on the dock. On your command, he runs down the dock, flings himself off the end to grabs his toy. The goal? To have fun and see how far your pup can jump!

We work with all shapes, sizes, and breeds including mixed dogs. We can help you learn the sport of dock diving or just teach your dog to swim. We also work with seasoned dogs and handlers that would like to improve their skills. Our teaching methods are positive to give you and your dog(s) a very pleasant and successful experience.

Private Lessons are 45 minutes and can be scheduled:

Tues. 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Wed. 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Never been in water and beginners/new to dock diving dogs must schedule a private lesson because they need more one on one time.

Cost – $55.00 per lesson one handler maximum of two dogs, add $10.00 per lesson per dog over the maximum.  Additional handler add  $15.00.  Additional time can be added and is prorated using the above fees.

Group Drop-In Lessons
We offer group drop-in lessons on Monday mornings 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the below dates.  These lessons are for all dogs that go off the dock with little to no hesitations or instructor recommendations.   Beginner/New to dock diving dogs that do NOT go off the dock or have been introduced to water need more one on one time, we require private lessons until your dog can go off the dock with little to no hesitation. Class size limited to 8 dogs.  Because we run classes as Drop-In with a limited number of participants you MUST Reserve your spot weekly by either email or text.  Reserve your spot as soon as you know you are able to attend, classes fill quickly.

Air Retrieve & Hydro Dash

Want to learn the game of Air Retrieve or Hydro Dash?  On selected Wednesday evenings we will be offering group lessons and practice sessions in Air Retrieve and Hydro Dash.   This is open to all dogs that are proficient at dock diving.

Don’t want a group lesson but want to only practice your skills, an open practice session will follow the AR/HD group lesson.  Reserve a spot in the group lesson and/or open practice.  Take both for a discounted price!   A reservation must be made by phone, e-mail, or text each time you plan to attend a group lesson and/or practice session. 
Dates: 5/14, 6/4, 7/9, 8/6,
Time: Class 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM, Open Practice follows class (6:30 PM)

Cost:
Lesson – $20.00 per dog                             
Open Practice – $20.00 per dog

Open Dock

Practice your skills on your own, with no instruction.  Each team receives 5 minutes per turn, amount of “turns” depends on the number of teams attending.   Upon arrival write your dog(s) name on the “when is it my turn” board.  Teams are welcome to stay for the entire session.  When you leave remove your team’s name from the board

5/28, 6/18, 6/25, 7/16, 7/30, 8/13, 8/27, 9/3 additional dates may be added weather permitting, added dates will be listed here and marked as new dates. On some evenings during Open Dock we will have a bring a dish, an ice cream social and a games night. When you RSVP for an evening we will let you know what is going on that night!

Dock/ pond Rentals 2025

A rental allows access to the pond, dock*, training field, and our numerous wooded hiking trails on our excluded 54 acres. Prices below are for one Handler/Household, group rates are available*.

Single visit     1/2 hour $25.00       45 minutes $50.00
Cost is per handler/household with Two or fewer dogs.  Add $5.00 per dog over Two per session.
The cost is $15.00 per session for each additional handler not from the same household.

Rentals can be booked: on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM when time slots are available.
